Dr. Aatman Shah is a fellowship-trained Mohs and cosmetic surgeon specializing in both advanced skin cancer treatment and cosmetic facial surgery. Born and raised in Plano, Texas, he graduated Phi Beta Kappa from MIT before earning his medical degree from Stanford University. He then completed his dermatology residency at The Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, followed by fellowship training in Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Facial Reconstruction at the University of Cincinnati. This fellowship is unique amongst Mohs programs in that it included a rigorous integration of cosmetic surgery, facial plastic surgery, oculoplastic surgery, laser surgery, and dermatologic surgery. This unique training allows Dr. Shah to seamlessly combine oncologic precision with aesthetic excellence.
In addition to Mohs surgery and complex facial reconstruction, Dr. Shah performs a full spectrum of cosmetic procedures, including facelifts, neck lifts, upper and lower blepharoplasty, and hair transplant surgery. His approach emphasizes natural, refined results tailored to each patient’s anatomy and goals.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Shah is an accomplished artist with a passion for painting. He has been commissioned by the City of Boston for large-scale murals as well as by private collectors for original works. He brings this artistic perspective into his surgical practice, blending technical precision with a refined aesthetic eye.
Dr. Shah is proud to be back in Texas with his wife and daughter. In his free time, he enjoys cooking, watching boxing and MMA, and—much to his wife’s chagrin—delivering reliably cringeworthy dad jokes.
